Chapter 7

This time she had nowhere to run. It was like de javu; they looked at each other and again smiled at her but that smile that had kept her attention most of last night was a lot smaller. Hadley couldn't’t help but feel a bit guilty. From what Katy had told her earlier every girl wanted to be with this guy and she could see why. But she kept telling herself that she couldn't do it, she couldn't put herself out there.

-----Sidney’s POV -----

“Dude don’t scare her off again” Max who couldn't’t help but joke with me and it so only I could hear as he walked past him toward the food.

“Not funny Talbo.” I said as he plopped down on to the couch.

Sure he was slightly embarrassed about last night but he wasn't stupid he knew something happened to her to make her do that. Even after she had left last night he couldn't stop thinking about her he had even walked up and started asking Katy questions about her, but she wouldn’t give anything other than general information. Katy had told him that if he wanted to know so bad that he was going to have find out himself….but how in the hell would he be able to do that.

He was lost in his own thoughts until a jalapeno pepper was thrown at him.

“Welcome back buddy, whatcha thinking about” Jordan asked.

“Nothing just thinking.” I returned.

“Dude just try and say hi to her, she had nowhere to run to this time.”

“I don’t need to make her feel uncomfortable in her own place.” I simply said back

“Well dude, you’re never going to know if you don’t try” Jordan said.
He knows something he just won’t tell me…damn him. O well here goes nothing. I got up off of the couch and grabbed and empty cup so at least I have an excuse to get closer to her because I’m pretty sure she hasn’t moved since I got here with the guys.

Hadley had decided she was just going to hang back and try to keep her mind clear. She was standing at the counter where the drinks were so people were coming up every now and then making small talk and she was doing the same back. These guys were pretty cool she decided and was looking forward to making friends with some of them. For the second time in as many
hours she felt like someone was looking at her.

“Hi, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable last night, I am really sorry if I ruined your night out.” Sidney said not knowing what else to say.

Hadley looked at him for a moment seriously thinking about running again but she couldn’t do that again, he seemed like a nice guy. But unfortunately the door bell rang. She looked around for Katy because she finally was going to say something back to him but saw that she was all over Jordan, which meant she had to answer the door.

“Excuse me I have to get that” not what she wanted to say she kind of actually wanted to be introduced and her do the same thing but she was now officially playing host. She went to the door and opened it to see a group of girls.

Hadley must have looked lost because before she could say anything a voice chimed in. “Hi, I’m Vero I am Marc-Andre’s girlfriend, your roommate Katy invited all of us over” she said and extended her hand.

“O yes of-course come on in, I’m Hadley, if you need anything let me know” she said as she shook Vero’s hand and let the others in.

------Hadley’s POV -----------

After I closed the door she turned around to go back to the counter where I had left Sidney only to find he had moved. I hated that I about got the guts to say something and it was gone. He had made his way back to his spot with the guys on the couch. I just sighed and made my way back to the counter.

“Hi again,” I looked up to see Vero pouring herself a drink.

“Hi, I’m sorry about earlier I thought that everyone was already here, I should have known that these guys would have girlfriends who would want to be here to.”

“O it’s not a problem I would have done the same thing if a bunch of random girls would have shown up at my door, and considering who these guys are I am personally glad that you were a little hesitant.”

I just nodded at what she was saying and before I even realized what I was saying I was asking questions about Sidney even though I have yet to have an actual conversation with him. While I was asking the questions Vero was smiling as she was answering them. I then surprised myself even more with my next question.

“Does he have a girlfriend?”

After everyone had left that night Hadley was sitting on the couch watching a movie alone. She had gotten used to this over the past few weeks and it really didn’t bother her because she loved movies but tonight she couldn’t focus. First of all she couldn’t believe that she had actually asked if he had a girlfriend but even more than that she was focusing on the answer that Vero had given her. By the way it was a no. After Vero had told her of course she was asked if she was interested and she said no. She knew that Vero didn’t believe her now she just hoped that the conversation didn’t get back to Sidney seeing as they never had an actual conversation.

Great couple of updates... Hope they work an actual conversation out* It's going to be a very strange relationship if they never talk* lol

Oh, and that looks like I'm criticizing, but I don't mean it that way* More of a joke-type haha way*
