Chapter 24

The first week of the road trip went really well. Hadley kept busy with Nathalie and the kids. They did a lot of charity work Hadley even found a Halloween costume for the party. Her and Sidney would talk whenever it was possible. Sidney on the other hand was worried at first but hearing how clam Hadley was made it easier for him to focus on playing.


In fact things seemed to get back to normal for them…it hasn’t happened since that first night together. It was one hell of a night though Hadley and Sidney couldn’t help but think that as they finished up day 9 of the road trip

She hasn’t been to work in a while…I wish I knew where she was. I have to see her. IT really is starting to PISS ME OFF. This is probably all golden boys doing. He took my chance with her away from me.


Maybe I should teach him a lesson. I could hurt him but that would hurt my love, we will save that for a last resort. So what could I do…he doesn’t like when I send things to her….he probably wont like if I were to talk….


I know exactly what I am going to.

Hadley had just finished watching a movie with the kids and made her way up to her room. She had been really tired lately but she knew it was because of everything that was going on. She marked another day on her calendar and laid down.

Just as she was about to doze off when her phone rang. It was late for Sidney to be calling but he had been calling before he went to bed. So she just picked up without looking at the caller id…

“Hey you. I miss you”

She misses me….It made me happy to hear her voice like the way I remember it. I forgot what I wanted to say I just sat there and listened to her breathe.

“Sid…baby”

She just ruined it. Calling me by golden boys name…Sure she probably doesn’t realize she is talking to her soul mate but still. Time to play with Golden boy

Still no one answered so she hung up the phone and tried to lay back down and get some rest. Something didn’t feel right though.

----In the hotel----

Sidney had just got himself settled and wanted Hadley’s voice to be the last thing he heard before he went to sleep.

He picked up his phone to call her…he had been looking forward to this all day. Just as he was about to make the call his phone rang.

“Hello”

“Hi”

“Who is this” he recognized a guys voice but not who it was.

“I just want to let you know that she will be mine….some way somehow…It will not stop.”

With that the phone disconnected and Sidney threw his phone against the wall and shattered it into pieces.

----Back in Pittsburgh----

Hadley couldn’t get herself calmed back down so she decided to call Sidney…he would help her. She called but it went right to voicemail. That was really strange considering he promised his phone was always going to be on. As she put her phone down her phone beeped signaling a text.

Soon my love soon.

She knew that wasn’t Sidney and was out of bed and on her way downstairs. She was scared to death and was just hoping that Mario or Nathalie to still be up. When she got down the stairs she ran right into Mario.

“Hadley what is it”

“He…He…” and tried to hand her phone to him but fainted first. He called for Nathalie when she got downstairs to see what he wanted she saw Hadley on the ground and Mario try and wake her up.

“Nat. Call an ambulance.”

Sidney was going ballistic in his room. He was so loud that he woke up Max, Flower and Jordan.

“What the hell Darryl” Jordan said walking in and falling onto Sidney’s bed face down. Billy had just walked out the bathroom form taking a shower and had no clue what was going.

“Party in our room?”

“We wish… el captain here woke us up with his yelling. I don’t think I have heard that many curse words come out of his mouth at once since…well ever.” Max said taking a seat next to Jordan.

Before anyone could say anything Sidney started again.

“Sid calm down your not making any sense.” Bill said walking up to him.

“ The bastard called me. Saying that she will be his and very soon. HOW IN THE HELL DID HE GET MY NUMBER”

There was now four very stunned and awake guys all staring at Sidney.

“Call the detective” Flower told Sidney… “Maybe”

Sidney just picked up the pieces that were left of his phone and showed flower and then started pacing and yelling again. There was another knock on the door and Billy went to answer it. It was Dan.

“Sid”

“What is it Billy…I think I have a reason to freak”

“Sid…its Hadley….something happened.”

Sidney just collapsed to the floor and started crying. He didn’t know what to do and the worst was going through his mind. The rest of the guys all got up and started tossing things, including his broken phone into Sidney’s bag knowing he was going back to Pittsburgh.

Dan walked further into the room and with Billys help got Sidney up and got him to the car that was waiting to take him to the airport where a plane was already waiting.

When Sidney got the plane he still didn’t have any details which made the flight unbearable. His mind was going everywhere he was just hoping that she was ok when he got there.

Mario and Nathalie were sitting in the waiting room just waiting for any information. The doctors were still in there with her.

“Sid should be here soon. They were only playing in Detroit.” Just then Sidney came running through the doors. He barely even stopped at Mario.

“Where is she.”

“With the doctors Sid you can’t go in there yet”

“Why not I have to see her…What happened” Sidney was on the verge of tears again but continued anyway.

“She came downstairs she was upset. I think she was going to show me something but she fainted.”

“So he didn’t get to her”

“No Sid why would you think that”

“Because he called me and told me...that she was going to be his.” Sidney just closed his eyes and started his pacing again.

“Oh my god she had her phone with her.” Mario was now putting the pieces she wanted to show him her phone.

Just then a Doctor walked out. “You brought Ms. Scott in”

“Yes is she ok.”

“She will be…she is resting comfortably right now.”

“Thank God…Can we see her” Sidney felt slightly better but he still wanted to see her.

“Sure but I have to ask you guys some questions first. So I can figure out a cause”

“Ok”

“Had she been under a lot of stress lately.”

“Yea you could say that.”

“That would have cause both the fainting and miscarriage.”

“Misss….” Sidney fell into the chair “She was pregnant”

My posts for both stories are going to be happening a little later I lost my fulltime job and had to go back to work at my partime job so my hours vary somedays Ill be working during the day...and sometimes I close. I can write while at work but cant have my computer so I'll have to type it when I get home at night...so please bear with me....

Chapter 23 part 2

“Mmmm Sid” as she tilted her head back as he kissed his way down her neck. As they made their way up the rest of the stairs


Hearing his name roll off her lips was driving him crazy. He put her down so he could finally get her shirt off. He stopped kissing her just long enough to get her shirt over her head and immediately went back to kissing his way down while he wrapped his arms around her to get her bra off of her…he wanted to feel nothing but skin…he needed it. While Sidney was occupied trying to figure out her bra she slipped her hand into his shorts and gently started massaging he erection. Sidney just moaned into her skin as he continued to kiss at her neck still trying to figure out her bra…

Getting slightly impatient Hadley decided to help and whispered “Try the front”

Sidney just looked at her with that smile… “Your all about games aren’t you” Hadley just laughed a little but soon stopped when she felt Sidney bent down just enough to take her newly exposed breast in his mouth making her moan again.

“Take me to bed baby” Sidney didn’t need to hear anything else and he picked her up again but took her into the bedroom. The way he figured he had all night they would just start here. It didn’t take long once they got into the bedroom to get the rest of their clothes off and Sidney was on top of her. He started at her mouth and worked his way down his body. The next morning Hadley woke up first with just a sheet covering her up and Sidney head down between her head and shoulder…she could feel his steady breathing and knew that he was still sleeping…it was her turn to wake him up..he really had to catch his flight.

She kissed the only part of his head that she could. “Baby its time to get up…we got to get going.”

“What time is it.” Hadley turned her head hoping that she would be able to see the clock.

“About 9”

“mm Ok and Sidney picked himself up and made his way to the shower. Hadley just smiled and made her way and made her way to the bathroom she was going to join him. She wanted to be around him as much as possible …she really didn’t want him to leave but knew that he had to. They didn’t have time for round 3 but did play a little bit in the shower. They both got dressed and headed downstairs for a quick breakfast before heading to Mario’s and then the arena.

After Sidney got Hadley’s stuff inside and up to his old room they walked down hand in hand so he could get going for the road trip.

“Same thing goes Hads. Someone will have my phone anytime I’m doing something so that it can be answered.”

Hadley just nodded. She didn’t want to cry but a couple of tears to fall. Sidney just wiped her tears and kissed her.

“I love you Hads.”

“I love you Sidney”

While this was happening plans were being made…


I have to find her…she has to be mine. She will be mine.

Chapter 23 PT 1

Hadley wasn’t herself at work. She pretty much just went through the motions of work. She did the finishing touches on her campaign pitch in the morning but found herself not really getting much accomplished because every time a guy would walk by she would start thinking if he was the one who was behind everything. It got worse she did the same thing in her campaign pitch which she was already doing a horrible job on but finished it..Of course that ended that the guy decided to go with someone else. It was the first campaign that Hadley had failed to get since she had been working at the firm.


Right before she was going to leave for the night when Sue called her into her office.

“Hadley could you come in here please.”

“Great on top of everything else I am going to get fired now to” Hadley said to herself as she made her way to Sue office like asked.

“What is going on Hadley”

Hadley told Sue everything that had happened since Katy’s funeral. So Sue decided that she should take a sabbatical until everything was taken care of.

“Hadley I know you love working but you really have been working a lot and putting way too much pressure on yourself….your just as good as your dad. Don’t worry”

Hadley didn’t even realize anything being said about her dad and just nodded and went to her desk to get her things. The only thing she did know that was she wasn’t being helpful by being paranoid at every man who walked by her.

She couldn’t believe that first this guy kills her first friend she made in Pittsburgh, coming after her, and now he was ruining everything in her life. If she wasn’t so scared that he was going to kill her…she would be really pissed off.

Hadley waited inside the door until she saw Sidney pull up.

“Hey bab…” Sidney could tell as soon as he looked at her that something was wrong.

“What is it Hads…did he try to contact you again…OH MY GOD is he in the office.” Sidney was really starting to freak out.

“No nothing like that…it is just taking a toll on me Sidney. He is like controlling my whole life. I lost my first campaign, Sue could tell that something was wrong so I had no choice but to tell her and now I am on sabbatical until everything with this situation is taken care of” and with that Hadley bent over and just started crying.

“Baby…” Sidney was glad that her working was going to be one less thing that he was going to have to worry about while he was gone.

He really didn’t know what to say but he had told Mario that they would be over for dinner after he picked Hadley up from work. “I know that you have a had a really hard day but I sort of told Mario that we would go over to his place for dinner…and we have an idea.”

Hadley just looked at Sidney and saw how bad he felt in his eyes so she just sucked it up and pulled the visor down to fix her makeup.

“This food better be good” was all she said. She was desperate to lighten the mood for just a little bit.

“Nats cooking is the best baby…you’ll love it. Then we can go home and just be together.”

They stopped at Hadley’s and got more of her clothes and other things that she wanted before heading over for dinner. Before long they were at the Lemieux’s and sitting around the dining room table eating dinner with everyone. She could tell that Sid loved being here…it really was like his family…well she thought anyway with everything she hadn’t gotten a chance to really meet his family but she wondered when that dreaded talk would be considering all she had was her mother and who knew where she was.

It was then that Nathalie brought Hadley out of her thoughts…. “Kids why don’t you all go upstairs finish up homework and get ready for tomorrow.” All the kids gave Sidney a hug and headed upstairs. Alexa stopped at Hadley and hugged her and whispered in her ear “I really like you…you make Sid really happy. She whispered back a thank you and sent Alexa on her way.

Hadley couldn’t wipe the smile off of her face…that little girl had just made her night.

“Baby. I know I should have told you this before but we have a road trip and I leave tomorrow.” That smile quickly disappeared and fear set in.

She didn’t know what to say and Sidney could tell that she was scared.

“So your gonna come stay with Mario and everyone here while I’m gone. We also got a security guard and a car if you want to go anywhere. It was originally so you could still work but since you’re not gonna be doing that you can use it for whatever.”

He could tell Hadley wasn’t happy that he had planned everything without talking to her but he knew he was doing what was best. Hadley knew it to and she really didn’t want to fight with Sid just after they were back together and especially since he was leaving.

“How long?” was all she asked.

“About a week and half total…I’ll be back a few days before Halloween.”

“Ok..sounds like a plan.”

Sidney was really surprised that she didn’t try to fight him on this but he was thankful for that too. They sat around and talked about everything..showed Hadley around so she would be comfortable before making their way back to his house so they could pack.

I saw them walk back into her apartment only to come out with more bags…I guess she is leaving. I didn’t mean to scare her..I want to romance her. She should be with me. I am the perfect man for her…not golden boy. I have to find a way to prove to her that is the case. It’s time to get serious.


With that he sat in Hadley’s old apartment with pictures of her in front of him and pleasured himself. That was going to have to do until they could be together for real.

After they had gotten all packed they both just sat on the couch for what would hopefully be a relaxing night considering everything that had happened in the past 24 hours. They were sitting there just watching TV when Sidney realized that they hadn’t fully made up yet. He had always heard the guys joking about make up sex and how it was the best. Sometimes they would even start fights just for that purpose. Now that his brain was on sex he wanted it so he started to move closer to Hadley hoping he could be subtle and just let it happen without actually asking. He didn’t think it would be an issue because he remembered the look she had in her eye this morning when she said that she missed him she meant in every way…just like he did.

Hadley noticed that Sidney was trying to be subtle and move closer to her and she couldn’t help but be happy…she had wanted it this morning but that didn’t work out. All the of sudden she felt Sidney’s had start rubbing her leg. She decided she was in the mood to tease him a little bit as he moved closer to start kissing right behind her ear.

“Sidney I want to watch the movie” she said trying to not moan at the feeling he was starting to bring out. She found herself slightly tipping her head off to the side to give Sidney more room.

“But it’s getting to a really good part” she half said half moaned. Sidney knew the game she was playing now because she hadn’t been able to hold back and was letting him work his way down her neck. He wasn’t in the mood for teasing.

“Mmmmhmm I’m sure this is a good part baby…” as he moved his hand closer the baggy shorts she was wearing.

“But I’m sure we can rent the movie for you” as he slipped his had even further up her leg causing Hadley to shift slightly so Sidney could get further up where she wanted him to be. Sidney knew he was winning but was thrown off when Hadley slid her hand down on to his growing erection causing him to moan.

She knew she could tease him anymore when she felt him getting hard she wanted just as bad as he did…So she let him lay her down on the couch and started to take his shirt off of him so she could see and feel his muscles. When it dawned on her they always were on the couch when they started to fool around.

“Sid” she said as he was bringing up his other hand under her shirt to massage her breast. He wanted to take his time and explore everything.

“Sid. Stop” That was something that he had never heard come out of her mouth when they were messing around. But he did as he was asked and looked up but stayed on top of her and kept his hands where they were so they could continue.

“What baby don’t you want th…”

“Of course I do but we are always on the couch….can we please choose somewhere else…anywhere.”

“Anywhere?”

She couldn’t help but laugh “Yes Sid anywhere in this whole house..”

Sidney quickly moved his hands and scooped her up and ran up the stairs.

Chapter 22

I got a little writing happy at work today...so its kinda long but hopefully everyone likes it


Hadley’s POV



After Sid got me situated and in bed he did the same for himself, it was the 1st time he let go of me since he had gotten to my apartment and even know I didn’t really want to let go. I think he knew this because in a matter of minutes he was back at my side. He pulled me into him just like we had spelt so many nights before I hit a selfish streak and had to do things my way.


Even though I am exhausted I don’t think sleep is in my cards. I begin to let my mind wander. I honestly can’t believe I let myself think that everything was over, that the note meant nothing when it apparently did. He was serious. Whoever killed Katy was looking for me…did he want to kill me? On top of that I let myself believe that Sid had the flowers sent to me. Who delivers flowers at night…really? God I’m so stupid.


It was then that Sid started to rub my side, I swear he can read my mind, he must have known what I was thinking about and was trying to get me to relax.


Finally I think I was starting to relax…just having him here made it so much better. Then he said quite possibly the best thing that he could have at that moment.


“One night soon it’s just gonna be you and me and a romantic night…I promise.” It really is amazing how soothing those words actually are…I can’t believe how stupid I was not only with whoever is after me but with Sid he was just trying to keep me safe. I’ll do what he wants if it means he is going to be close to me…I just have to try and keep a normal lifestyle…I can’t change. I did that too much in the past.


Finally I decide to try and relax. I really need to try and get some sleep part of having a normal life is work…and I still have to go tomorrow and be professional and finish up that campaign.

Sidney’s POV


My mind was going a mile a minute and I could tell hers was too. I don’t know what else I could do to calm her down so she could sleep so I just started rubbing her side and told her the first thing that came to my mind.


“One night soon it’s gonna be you and me and a romantic night…I promise”. It helped to ease my mind a bit and I hope it did the same for her.


Now I just have to find a way to keep her safe. Fuck I leave for another road trip the day after tomorrow and I’m going to be gone almost two weeks. I have to figure it out because I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to her.


Once I made sure she was asleep I rolled over to turn the alarm on because one thing I was sure of was the fact that she would want to try and maintain a normal lifestyle…that meant going to work. I have to keep her safe but I can’t let a repeat of a couple weeks ago happen again…I can’t lose her again…I need her in my life another thing that I am sure of.


I curl back up to her and get her as close to me as possible and try to sleep but I don’t know how well that is going to go.

7:00 am rolled around and the alarm went off. Neither Hadley or Sidney got a lot of sleep last night. Hadley really just closed her eyes and let Sidney hold her…it was the only place that she wanted to be.


Sidney didn’t want to move either but he promised himself last night that they would keep things as normal as possible.


“Hads baby time to get up. We gotta get you to work.”


Hadley couldn’t help but smile a little because they weren’t going to have to fight about that which was good since they had just been reunited.


“mmmm ok” Hadley rolled onto her back stretched out and just looked at Sidney.


“I’m sorry” she felt tears threaten to fall again and tried to hold them in check.


“For what Hads”


“For not listening, you were just trying to keep me safe and now look.”


“Hads of course I want you safe but I should have listened to you about trying to keep things normal. I didn’t let you do that so I made it hard. It is just at much my fault if not more.”


“ Ok…fine we will say we are even. I know I have to get up but I don’t want to I just want to lay here with you” Hadley said as she wrapped her arm around a half naked Sidney and kissed him for the 1st time since before she left that day a couple of weeks ago.


God her lips felt amazing and he was seriously considering her offer. But as much as he wanted to stay like this with her he remembered again the promise he made to himself but this time started cursing it.


Hadley didn’t want to stop but she knew she had to. She really had to work on that campaign for her pitch later on today. So she finally pulled away and made her way into the bathroom to get ready for the day.


Sid laid there for a bit longer before going downstairs to make some coffee they were both going to need it today.


A little while later Hadley came down all dressed for work and Sidney felt his mouth go dry…she looked so hot in her pencil skirt…it was getting really hard to curb those feelings and he felt himself moving towards her for another searing kiss.


“Here is some coffee” he said in between kisses


“Thank you…but can I just have this instead” she said and continued to kiss him…this is what she missed most the sweet kisses they shared for no reason.


“Mmmm as much as I want say yes…I have to get you to work and then practice. Since you don’t have your car…I thought I could drive and we can figure out the car situation after.” He knew that he had to tell her about the trip but he wanted to wait until things got figured out


This made Hadley happy because she couldn’t help but think that if this guy knew where she lived he knew what car she drove and what she did with it while at work.


He kissed one more time and then made their way to the garage.


When they pulled up to Hadley’s office he couldn’t help but look around for anything strange, thankfully he didn’t notice anything.


“Ok I’ll pick you up at 5 but if you need anything someone will have my phone so it can be answered.”


“Ok I love you Sidney”


“I Love you to Hads.”


With that Sid watched her walk into her office building and made his way to the arena. He always did his best thinking there and he really needed that now.


He got to the arena not surprised to see anyone else’s car in the parking lot. He parked in his usual spot and made his usual way to the locker room got his skates on, grabbed his stick and a bag of pucks. He had until 10 to figure something out then he had to turn into hockey Sid for awhile.

Mario pulled into the parking lot at 8:30 like he did every morning but this morning he had a surprise. Sids car in the parking lot and a fan waiting where they usually were.


“Good morning sir.”


“O please call me Mario”


“Can I have an autograph Mario?”


“Sure thing, here you go”


Mario hadn’t been asked for an autograph outside the arena like this in awhile so he didn’t think anything of it and put his focus back to Sid…something was on the kids mind…why else would he be here so early.


That was easier than I thought…and he walked away now knowing what kind of car golden boy drove. She won’t get away. Now time to get back to my love.

Instead of going straight to his office he made a detour towards the ice and sure enough he found Sidney skating taking shot after shot at the net.


“SID” he yelled hoping to get his attention.


Sidney heard Mario call him looked up but took a few more shots and then made his way over to the bench where Mario was waiting patiently.


“What’s going on Sid? This is early even for you.” Mario said and waited for Sidney to start talking.


“I called Hadley last night”


“Well, that’s a good thing right?”


“Yea except when I called she was hysterical because that guy or whoever he is found her.”


“Wait a minute…what are you talking about?”


Sidney forgot that he hadn’t told Mario any thing after the Katy had been killed.


“Katy’s death was ruled a homicide so Hadley moved out and into another apartment. When she went to clean out the apartment for a new tenant she found this note…well she ignored it for awhile thinking that it was just a piece of paper until one night it fell out of her purse Vero picked up and handed it to her. It said that it should have been her and it was written in blood.”


“So that was the fight about keeping Hadley safe.”


Sidney just nodded


“So what do you mean he found her again.”


“He sent her flowers..The bastard walked right up to her door and left two bouquets five minutes apart from each other. Which means he watched her take the first one inside” Sidney had just realized that last part and punched the bench.


“Is she ok”


“Physically yes. But she is scared and she isn’t the only one. I went over there and we called the detective handling the case”


“Well she is ok…you need to let the cops do their job…ok don’t try to be the hero Sid”


“I know that but Mario I have to keep her safe. I can’t let anything happen to her, I can’t lose her.” Sid said and tears started to fall because he still hadn’t figured anything out. “I don’t know how I can do that and we leave for two weeks tomorrow. What the hell am I supposed to do?”


“Where is she now?” Even Mario was worried for her safety and Sid’s well being. He knew that he loved her and he had to help in any way he could.


“Work…She wants to try and keep a normal routine..I want that too if it is going to help her and keep her with me.”


Mario just nodded remembering the fight that Sid and Hadley had and how much that messed with Sidney and now he really knew why.


“Well I am not traveling with the team this trip so how about she come stay at the house with us and we will make sure that she is safe. I mean security and a driver so she can keep the normal routine you guys agreed on.”


“It sounds ok…but I’m not going to stop worrying about it”


“I am not saying you have to but you do have a team counting on you….so you need to focus on hockey too Sid…she will be fine at the house I can promise you that.”


“ OK and here I thought meeting my family was going to be the hardest thing that we were going to have to get through.” Sidney wanted to lighten the mood …he knew it wasn’t a good joke but he had really thought that…he knew what his dad thought about relationships during the season.


“OK well I’ll start working on those arrangements while you practice and we can figure all the other details out at dinner tonight..”


“Ok thanks Mario…I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t come down here.”


“Sid, I am always going to take care of family and the people they care about. Plus Nat will be happy that you two are fixed…she had been asking a lot if I knew anything.” Mario said keeping the mood light like he knew Sid was trying to do with that last joke he tried to make.


Sidney couldn’t help but laugh and it felt so good to laugh again.


“But for now go try and get some sleep…you look like hell”


Sidney just nodded and made his way back to his stall…took off his skates and collapsed on the couch in the lounge and fell asleep until practice.

Chapter 21

Chapter 1 is up for Old Love....New Beginnnings

Check it out and leave some love...so I know if I should continue or not. I know it starts off kinda slow but I have big plans soon for it...

It took me awhile but I found her again. I knew she would stay in the other apartment but what I hadn’t counted on was that it would take me so long to find her again. But I am close to her….I rented her old apartment I swear I can still smell her in here…it really is great.

I need to keep on track now that I found her again….I have to make her see that she should be with me not Golden boy…he really is getting in the way. But I can handle him. I need to focus on Hadley Scott….my love.

All in good time I will get what I need…All in good time.

By the time Hadley got to the door whoever was knocking was now gone…but there was a gorgeous bouquet of red roses sitting at the door. It was something she thought Sidney would do…leave the roses for her with a note. Hell he had done it before when he left that rose on her car at work. She looked down the hall to see if she could see him at all down the hall before she turned around and walked back into the apartment. Someone was watching.

She put the roses down on the coffee table in the living and looked for a note but there wasn’t one.

She decided that they had to be from Sid and the note just fell out. So she picked up her phone to call him and thank him for the flowers and hopefully they could talk and figure everything out because she missed him so much and wanted him back…

Just as she was about to hit send there was another knock on her door. Hoping it was Sid she tried to get to the door a little bit faster.

Instead of Sid it was another bouquet of roses; again she picked up the roses and looked down the hall again looking for Sid. Not seeing him he went back into the apartment to set these down as well to maybe get the guts to actually call him.

But she saw the note first…

Sid and the guys ended up getting everything that they needed for the party including their costumes. He was just starting to relax something he hadn’t been doing much of since Hadley left when his phone beeped signally a text.

She really misses you…you should call her. -V-

For the next few minutes Sidney held his phone in his hand. He finally hit the send button only to cancel the call before it would connect. He had no clue what he was going to say to her. He wanted her back but he thought that he needed to say more than that. They had a lot to talk about….including her being safe.

Hadley saw the card and got it out to read it…still having it in her head that this was all Sidney’s doing.

She looked at the card and saw “Soon my love…Soon.” written in a droopy red writing. She dropped the card and screamed while at the same time her phone started to ring.

“Hello” she said trying to stay calm.

Sidney could tell something was going on. “Hads”

“Sidney…he…knows…”

“Who knows?” he said slightly confused but got worried when there was a silence.

“Hadley”

“He knows where I am…he sent flowers” she finally was able to say.

That was all he needed hear…talking could wait he had to get to her and was out the door before he could say anything else.

“Hadley…Hads listen to me…”

“Ok” staying calm was no longer an option when she noticed she was shaking.

“Stay on the phone with me I’m on my way.”

“Ok” she said again pretty sure that was all she was capable of saying at the moment.

He tried to talk about anything he could think of to try and calm her down. All the while he was driving close to 80 mph to get to her. He didn’t care at that moment what brought them back together as long as he could get there.

She got my flowers…I saw her take them into the apartment with her. I hope she likes my note. I think I’ll wait around and see if she comes back out. I could stay her all night long. I had the perfect cover. I was in a security guard uniform. People would think that I was just making my rounds. I am so close to her but I have to keep my distance…just for awhile longer.

I bent down to tie my shoe when I felt this gust blow by me. When I looked up he was there pounding on her door. I really hate Sidney Crosby.This means the cops are gonna end up here..I should leave. He ruins all my plans....

“Hadley…Hads…Let me in baby” Sidney said into his phone and then the door opened.

He just pulled her into his arms and held her. She was shaken but she was ok.

“I’m never going to let anything happen to you. I love you. I’m so sorry for being over bearing. I just wanted you to be safe” Sidney said now crying along with Hadley.

“No I’m sorry I should have listened to you. I knew the cops had nothing yet and I still had to do things my way….I’m sorry Sidney…I love you so much” and she buried her head into his chest and just cried.

“You know we have to call Detective Smith” and Hadley just nodded as Sidney dialed the number…he had it programmed into his phone and was glad that he had done that now.

Hadley didn’t let go of Sidney the whole time the detective was there talking to her….

“ I thought that they were from Sidney. He had left flower for me like that before. I thought that we were just going to talk…until I saw this note on the second set. Sidney wouldn’t leave that kind of note…he would have delivered the second bouquet himself” she told the detective.

“We have to take the flowers…I’m sure that is ok but I still have to let you know. Hopefully we can get some kind of lead from that. Do you have anywhere you can go.”

“She is going home with me. I live in a gated community. She will be safe and there will be security around” was all that Sidney said and Hadley didn’t try to argue with him this time.

“OK.” We will have police officers around as well…we all want to catch this guy” the detective said and made his way over to his CSI crew.

Soon enough they were gone and Sidney was up trying to stay calm while Hadley pack things to go to Sidney’s house. After about an hour Hadley was ready to go and Sidney helped her down and into his car. Before too long they were back at Sidney’s house. Hadley wouldn’t leave his side so he set the alarm and went upstairs with her.

After he got her situated he got himself situated in bed. He kissed her cheek and said “One night soon it’s just gonna be you and me and a romantic night…I promise” and then try to get some sleep.

Chapter 20

It was now two weeks into October and almost two weeks since Hadley and Sidney ended things…with out another work spoken between them…both of them were miserable and everyone saw it…now just what to do about it.

“Sid come on man” Max and Jordan said at the same time. They were trying to plan the Halloween part…and their costumes.

“What I’m just not in the mood”

“Yea we noticed. “ Jordan said. He was finally feeling like himself and was ready to move on.

“The team is doing great…everything in the world is good…hell even my shoulder feels great” Max said following Jordan.

“Everything is not OK. I have no idea what’s going on with Hadley, not only that but I miss her.”

It was out in the open now he thought even though he knew he was doing a horrible job at hiding it.

“We know but she is fine” Jordan said. He knew because they talked to each other a few times.

The first time being when Hadley gave him the picture of Katy. They had really been helping each other pull through.

“HOW DO YOU KNOW SHE IS FINE” Sidney was now yelling

Jordan realized that he just dug himself into a hole but he still couldn’t let Sidney know they have been talking, Hadley had made him promise.

Sidney was just staring at Jordan while he thought of something to say. Max on the other hand was trying not to laugh to hard. How could guys be so serious with one girl…especially when every girl wanted you was all that kept playing through his mind…but Sidney had always been good entertainment when he was like this.

“Ummm I just saw at the coffee shop…no big deal”

Sidney wasn’t sure but it had been more info than he had gotten from Vero.

“Let’s go “ was all he said and made his way towards the car.

“What are you going to stake out all the coffee shops.” Max said laughing he just couldn’t help it anymore.

“Sidney just turned and looked at him…he wanted to change the subject even though he started it.

“NO…Halloween party remember.”

Plus when and if he wanted to talk to Hadley he knew where to go.

Hadley had been working on a big campaign almost non stop…to keep her mind off of things…not so much everything with Katy’s investigation and the note but Sidney…God she missed him and when she wasn’t working she was thinking of him.

Sue had finally convinced her to take the afternoon off so Hadley went back to her apartment to try and relax and hopefully not think of Sidney, when there was a knock at her door.

“ Coming “ and then opened the door to find Vero.

“Hi” V said and made her way into the apartment.

“Ummm Hi.” Hadley really had no clue why Vero was here. Sure they had gotten close but she thought since things with Sid were…well over that meant losing friends…the whole my friend before you.

“What are your plans for the next few hours” V asked.

“I have a date…”

“WHATTTT YOU CANT…WHAT ABOUT SID…I KNOW YOU MISS HIM” Vero was practically yelling at Hadley know. She was tempted to shake her til she got her sense back

Hadley wanted to laugh but saw how serious and upset V was and decided against it but to finish what she was saying.

“…with my couch.”

“O thank god…I thought I was going to have to beat you” she said and kinda laughed and then said “Anyways lets go shopping.”

“For what”

“Hello Halloween…the party is coming up”

Hadley knew all about the party because she caught Sid looking at costumes online one night when he thought she was asleep. But never thought about it and now definitely didn’t think that she should go considering.

“V I’m not a girlfriend anymore…”

“That’s ok you guys will be back together by then”

Vero didn’t give her a chance to reply to that and grabbed her arm…practically dragging her out of the apartment leaving barely enough time to grab her purse….

--- Hours later----

Hadley ended up getting a costume that V would drive Sidney crazy and a bunch of other things that she didn’t need but couldn’t say no to.

When she finally got back to her apartment she was serious about that date with her couch but she couldn’t get V’s thoughts out of her mind…and though if he wanted to talk to me he would come and do it…hopefully.

And then there as a knock at the door…

Chapter 19

That was exactly what Sidney did...he took her back to his house and just held her until she fell asleep. It was like this for another week, the Pens were playing at home and Sidney made sure that Hadley was safe no matter what.

It had been almost a week since Hadley found the note and she was at the point where that she wanted to live her life her way. Not with security and being stuck in Sidney’s house. Sure she loved Sidney and knew that he was just being cautious but he was slowly driving her crazy.

Sidney was sitting in the living when Hadley came downstairs dressed for work.

“I’ll will call you later” she said as she made her way towards the garage where her car had been parked since the last game.

It took a minute for Sidney to process everything but when he did he couldn’t get off the couch faster.

“Wait where are you going”

“I am going to work and then I am going home to my apartment to have a relaxing night”

“But…”

“JUST STOP” she said a little bit more loudly than intended but she was losing her mind. Even before Felix she had been on her own doing things her way and now she had become a prisoner of someone who probably wasn’t even around anymore.

“ I have lived my life my way for years and I am not going to change it. I am going back to my life.”“But it isn’t safe.”

“You don’t know that. Nothing else has happened. Anyways you are going on the road and I am certainly not staying at YOUR house by myself.”“Why not I like you here…I know…”“I can be safe in my own apartment Sidney…I can take care of myself you know”

They were no longer talking but practically screaming at each other now.

“HADLEY SERIOUSLY….just come back inside.”

“Did it ever occur to you that you are smothering me with all this safe talk. I can’t change my life over one Fucking note Sidney. The guy probably isn’t even around anymore”

Sidney was blown away at what she had just said but that didn’t stop what came out of his mouth.

“Fine Fucking leave see if I care…I can’t believe….go ahead take chances with your life…IM DONE”

“Your done???? FINE be done…with this…with me…with us…Kiss my ass Sidney”

Hadley was so angry she just turned around towards the car got in and drove off… not giving
Sidney a chance to have the last say.

Ok time to go to work and kick ass on this campaign. And that was exactly what she did. Her boss was surprised to see her when she walked in because she had said that Hadley could work at home until everything was resolved.

“Hadley..”

“Hi, Sue…is there anything new that I can start working on…I want to sink my teeth into something good.”

Of course Sue was concerned but she had to put her agency first and this Hadley was the one she had hired just from a phone conversation.

“Sure we always have something for one of our best” John Hunters, Sue husband, came up and pulled Hadley close to him.

“UHH thanks…” Hadley was a little unnerved by being so close but she just brushed it off because of what had happened with Sidney.

Hadley worked on the campaign that she was given until about 7 that night. As well the next two nights. She hardly thought about Sidney and what had happened. She walked into and went right to her bathroom for a relaxing bath just like she had planned. It was then that she thought of Sidney and the tears finally fell…she was upset her and Sidney were over but she believed that she was right she couldn’t change her life over a note…but she still loved him

"What am I going to do now."

----On the road----

They finally got to the Hotel and to say that Sidney was drained was a complete understatement. He had just played two games and lost both of them. On top of that everything that had gone down with Hadley. But he couldn’t help but be worried…her life could be at stake…not matter what was said he still loved her.

“Darryl…come on man were going out.”

“Nah man I don’t think so.”

“O come on…I know we take losses hard but we played good we just didn’t get the bounces.”

“ For once I’m not thinking about the game…I’m worried about Hads.”

“We know man…it scary stuff going on”

“Yea and know she wants nothing to do with me..we were done.”

“WHATTT”

“Yea man we are done…big fight…lots of yelling…we are done…were pretty much the exact words.”

“Dude I’m sorry. I’ll bring ya back some food.”

“Thanks man”

With that Sidney was left alone to worry and wallow over losing Hadley…and all because he wanted to protect her…He called his dad and talked to him for awhile and Sidney was surprised to hear that his dad would do the same thing. Even though his dad thought it was a good idea the they weren’t too serious considering… Sidney just decided to leave the love thing out it.

He decided to take a hot shower hopefully he would relax and be able to sleep…as the water was running down his body all he could think about what she was doing right now and hoping that she was ok…

“What am I going to do now” and let the water run over his head.

Chapter 18

Hadleys POV

I was sitting there in the police station. Sidney didn’t want to wait until tomorrow to talk to the police. So here we were waiting for the detective to come and talk to me.

“Ms. Scott. Hi Im detective Smith, I have been handling the case.”

“Hi”

“Why don’t we go into a room and talk for a little bit.”

“OK...” I turned around and looked at Sidney and he got up to come with me.

“I’m sorry sir but we need to talk to her alone.”

I saw him turn about 5 shades of red but I looked over and tried to make him feel better. I don’t think it worked well because as I walked into the room I looked back one more time and saw Sidney hands wrapped around the chair and his knuckles turning white and then I saw Marc Andre and V walking in. I hated that other people were drug back into this but there wasn’t much I could do about it.

He asked me to tell him about the day that I found the note and so on and then went on to tonight when I actually read the note. By the time he was done talking to me I was crying again…But I had every right to be upset didn’t I….I had just found a note in my purse that I had been carrying with me for two weeks that said It should have been you and it was in blood.

The more I thought about that note had to be about me because I was the only other person who lived in that apartment…and a lot of my stuff had been messed with…Katy really was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. In fact she probably tried to fight which probably only made it worse.

I sat in that room for a minute I wanted to collect myself I didn’t want anyone seeing me upset especially Sidney…unfortunately he knew something was up because when the detective walked out he walked in.

“Hads”

“I don’t know what to do…who would want to hurt…NO KILL ME” I practically screamed this at him.

Sidney just came up and wrapped his arms around me. The tears started again. Just when I thought I was getting back to the way I should be…Happy….all of this happened.

Sidney’s POV

“I’m sorry sir but we need to talk to her alone.”

I could have killed that guy. I’ve been in what 5 fights total my career but I was ready to hurt this guy. Could he not see how tore up she about this. I mean really her best and first friend was just killed…and then she finds a note that thinks is nothing holds it for two weeks...then come to find out the note says that it should have been her. I was worried, scared, god I was feeling everything in the book and worse I couldn’t do anything about it…I was told to sit here while they take my girlfriend and talk to her…and so the pacing began as Flower and V sat there watching me.

“Sid…Im sure it is going to be ok” Flower said to me on my lap back closer to where he was sitting.

I just looked at him… “Are you crazy Flower…someone wants to hurt if not kill her”

“ That is why we are here…to help and protect her.” I didn’t even have a response to that so I started pacing again. About 45 minutes later which I swear seemed like a good 10 hours or so the door opened and I saw her head laying on the table her shoulders shaking slightly.

“You asshole…” that was all I could think when the detective walked past me.

“Hads” I said softly knowing she didn’t like having people see her cry.

She just looked up at me and say “I don’t know what to do…who would want to hurt…NO KILL ME” and then started crying again.

I did the only thing I could think of and wrap my arms around her.

“Its going to be ok. Lets go home” “HOME I CANT GO HOME….I CANT BE BYMYSELF” she said through the tears.

“I know Hads come home with me…Let me take care of you” it was all I could do so that is all I wanted to do ….take care of the woman that I loved.

I finally convinced her to get up and come home with me. The detective talked to Vero and then told us that he would put everything with the case and continue working on it. I swore under my breath at that…they weren’t doing enough as far as I’m concerned. But at that point I just needed to get her home and hold her.

I don’t know what to do….

Chapter 17 part 2

so I know its another short one but I hope everyone likes it....hopefully if I can tear myself away from some of my favorite stories I will be able to write alot this weekend and continue the story and possibly start another one.

Chapter 17 Part 2

“What I want you and I want you to make love to me Sidney because I think I am falling in love with you” she said.

“I’ve already fallen in love with you.” Sidney told her.

He took her into his arms, picked her up and carried her to her room to do just what she had asked. Make love to her.

They weren’t in a hurry. They both wanted to savor the moment. Unlike before they took each other’s clothes off taking time to kiss each other at each’s newly exposed skin. Sidney gently laid her on the bed and then continued to kiss her. Once all the clothes were actually shed Sidney was just hovering over Hadley just taking in the moment. He had no clue how much he could love someone and how fast it had happened. A few mere months ago she was terrified of him.

“I Love You Hadley” and he slowly entered her. He stayed still in her until he got the response he wanted.

“I Love You to” and she started to lift her hips closer to him.

Sidney took that as a hint to start moving and did so but kept the pace slow. He wanted this night to be perfect, he was determined to stay in check no matter what his body was telling him.
After while though he couldn’t control himself anymore as Hadley kept urging him on.

“Oh God Sid faster.” Sidney obliged and started moving faster.

“Right there….Yes” Sidney loved hearing her say this as he drove her and himself over the edge.
After they both had cleaned themselves up they cuddled up into bed and fell into a peaceful sleep with the one that they love.

Hadley was finally back in the swing of things and she could walk by Katy’s desk without breaking down into tears. Things were getting better…now the cops just had to find out who had killed Katy. Though the longer it took the more it seemed that wasn’t going to happen.

Hadley was actually looking forward to go to a hockey game a chance to relax and watch Sidney. Because well lets face it watching Sidney playing hockey was amazing.

“Hey V, where’s Heather at” Hadley still felt guilty that she had become friends with Heather but she really was a nice girl and Katy needed friends outside of work.

“Didn’t you hear” Vero said as she looked at Hadley not sure whether she should continue the conversation.

“No what happened.”

“Jordan broke things off with her. He said that he didn’t feel the same about her and just ended things”

All Hadley could do look at Vero as she remembered a conversation that she had with Jordan the other night when everyone was out.

---Flashback---

“Hey Jordan. Why aren’t you over with all the guys.”

“Just don’t feel like it”

“Are you ok” Hadley knew that Katy’s murder had affected Jordan but she wasn’t sure why considering they had broken things off because he was with Heather.”

“Yea I’ll be fine” he told her and put a smile on his face but then under his breath eventually.

------End Flashback---

“Oh my…he really did have feeling for her didn’t he?”

“ I don’t know he won’t talk to anyone about it.” Vero answered the question even though she knew that Hadley was more or less talking to herself.

Hadley felt so bad for Jordan but didn’t know if she could do anything.

They settled in to watch the game. Which the Pens ended up losing in overtime…so it really wasn’t going to be a good night. Hadley and Vero made their way down to the lounge to wait for the guys to head home. While they were waiting Hadley remembered she had a picture of Katy in her purse. She had found it in the apartment when they were cleaning and couldn’t bring herself to get rid of it. She was going to give it to Jordan.

“Ahhh there it is” she said to herself and pulled the picture out of her bag bringing a white piece of paper with her.

“Hadley here…what is this”

“Ohh I’m not sure does it say anything?” Hadley asked Vero who was now holding note

Vero opened it up and lost all color in her face.

“V what is it?” Hadley wasn’t sure what was all of the sudden wrong with Vero.

“Had…”

At this point Hadley took the note from Vero to see what is said for herself and she herself now lost color and fell on to the couch. As Vero ran to get Sidney.

THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU….

Sidney came running out to the lounge because Vero had said that something was wrong. He saw

Hadley sitting there shaking uncontrollably as she looked at the note.

“Baby whats wrong…what happened.” Sidney was really worried now.

Hadley just looked up at him and showed him the note.

“IS THAT BLOOD???” Sidney yelled as Hadley’s tears started pouring out of her face uncontrollably.

Chapter 17 pt 1

I know its a short one but I hope you all enjoy it....




It had been two weeks and Hadley had nothing. She was now in an apartment by herself. Not the same one though. The company had offered to let her live in a residential building that they leased for out of town clients. To which she agreed because she just couldn’t live in the same place where Katy was killed.

The police had no leads and Sidney could tell that Hadley was getting frustrated by it. Someone had killed her best friend and he was still out there somewhere.

“I can’t do this.” Hadley looked over to Vero who had come with her to the old apartment to go through Katy’s things and get the rest of her own things out of the apartment.

“Yes you can and I’m going to be around the whole time.” Vero said and put the key into the whole and opened the door. They went in very slowly and Hadley just looked around and remembered so many things even though it had been a short time.

After a few hours they had gotten most of Katy’s things sorted out and were waiting on the charity truck to get here so they could donate the furniture. Hadley hadn’t needed it when she moved into the other place because it had already been furnished.

When the movers started moving the couch a piece of paper fell out and Hadley just picked it up thinking that it was just a scrap that she or Katy had used to put some ad ideas on. Hadley then locked up the apartment for the last time.

“Lets go meet the guys for some drinks” Vero said and started making her way downstairs to the car.

Hadley knew that Katy would want her to be ok and she was trying very hard to be okay but she had just lost her best friend, even though she was getting closer with the guys and the other girlfriends.

After awhile Hadley had forgotten the hellacious day that she had and was enjoying time with Sidney and the others.

She was sitting on his lap when she decided that she wanted to play a little bit. They hadn’t been together since the night before she had found Katy…she wanted to thank him for being there and being so understanding with everything. She turned in his lap ever so slightly and just leaned her head down and started to nibble at his ear.

It was really the last thing he expected as he was just happy that Hadley was actually allowing herself to have a goodtime with everyone and forget about the past two weeks. He had to stop the groan that wanted to escape his mouth even though it escaped his mouth just low enough for Hadley to hear. She continued her assault but subtly moving from where she was to his neck.

“Hads” he didn’t want to draw attention to what she was doing but she was driving him crazy right now. His hand had started rubbing up her leg. If he was going to be driven crazy he was going to do the same thing to her.

“Lets go back to my place” she whispered into his ear.

Sidney got up so quickly that Hadley just started laughing hysterically as they said their goodbyes and went to Sidney’s car

When they got to Hadley’s apartment he pushed her up against the wall an attacked her lips before she could even put her purse down which caused her to drop it and the contents spilled out. Her phone falling on to her foot.

“SHIT” Hadley yelled.

“Baby I’m sorry I didn’t mean to..” but stopped when he realized that she was now laughing and started laughing herself.

After the laughing stopped they both bent down to pick up the stuff that was on the floor and put it back in her bag. Sidney picked up the piece of paper and asked what it was.

“I found it in the apartment, It is probably just a scratch sheet she used to come up with ideas” Hadley said and then looked up into Sidney’s eyes, and it became so crystal clear why she had been pushing him away.

He noticed she got quiet again all of the sudden just stared talking “Hads I know you’ve been going through a lot. So if you don’t want to do anything and just go to sleep I un…” but was cut off by Hadley.

“What I want you and I want you to make love to me Sidney because I think I am falling in love with you”

Chapter 16

She couldn’t believe it still as she was sitting in the hospital just waiting.

She remembered she was mad because she was going to be late and then Katy wouldn’t answer her phone…which didn’t help. But it all changed when she walked up to the apartment. The door was closed but not locked which at the time Hadley didn’t even think of…she walked in and instead of finding her papers for her presentation she saw a mess and then Katy on the floor….not awake….not moving… so now she was at the hospital just waiting.

The cops got her statement and then Hadley called into work explaining the situation and how she wasn’t leaving the hospital and leaving her best friend alone. She remembered that bad feeling and now she knew that what was happening now was what the bad feeling was…her best friend was fighting for her life.

---Meanwhile in LA---

They had just landed and the first thing Sidney wanted to do was call Hadley. After the past few nights they had together couldn’t have been more perfect…if he could’ve worked it out he wanted her with him…but she had that presentation and she told him how excited it was for her because it was her first really big account that she was heading up.

He knew that but he also knew that the presentation was until later..but she wasn’t answering.

This was weird because she always answered even if it was only for a minute. He just had a feeling that something was wrong

--- Back in Pittsburgh----

It now had been almost 10 hours since she had found Katy in the apartment and still nothing…she noticed the doctor walking out in her direction. Katy didn’t have any family so Hadley was it.

“Miss, you came in with Katy Winters?”

“Yes…it she ok…I don’t even know what happened she was just there” Hadley said feeling the breakdown starting, she knew it was bad.

“I’m sorry we have done everything we can. She is in a vegetative state. Her brain was deprived of oxygen for too long. She isn’t going to wake up. Since you are her only contact information it is up to you”

She felt the tears running down her face she couldn’t say anything. She just stared.

“I don’t want to pressure you but if you decided to donate her organs you only have a certain amount of time” the doctor said and stepped away

Just then her phone rang again but it was the first time she noticed it. She saw it was Sidney and decided she had to answer. As soon as she did she broke down.

“Hads…what wrong…”

“Katy….” but she started crying uncontrollably.

“Hads Katy what” he knew that it wasn’t about work she and Katy weren’t on the account together.

“OMG she ‘s dead” she said almost in a whisper as it hit her again and the tears started again.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN DEAD” Sidney was now having to basically yell so he could try and get her attention. He also got the guys attention to.

The yelling surprised her enough to get the tears to stop momentarily. “ I mean she is dead…I left my presentation stuff at the apartment last night because I was excited and Katy wouldn’t answer her phone…I was mad at her for not…” but Sidney cut her off

“Hads what happened” he was now well past being worried as the shock began to set in on him.

“I had to go back to my place and I opened the door and she was on the floor. She wouldn’t wake up so I called 911 and I’ve been her waiting all day…they really just told me she was dead.”

“Hadley…” but he stopped he wasn’t sure what to say

“I have to decide what to do…I don’t know we never talked about it…I don’t know….I have to go…Bye Sid”

He was just sitting there staring at his phone.

“Sidney what the hell was that man…” Jordan asked him

“Hadley…ummm.”

Max now cut in “ Is she ok?”

“Im not sure...she just said Katy is dead”

The entire locker room froze in the tracks and Jordan fell down to the bench. He and Katy may have broken up but he cared about her so much so that he was planning on breaking up with Heather and trying to get Katy back. Everyone including Sidney had looked over to him but Sidney’s thought quickly returned to Hadley…he knew Katy was all she really had after Felix.

“I couldn’t get anything else out of her she was so upset. I have to get to her. I have to get to Hadley” was all Sidney could get out of his mouth.

Because the game was over and they were heading back to Pittsburgh that night all the guys got dressed as fast as they could, and Sidney immediately went to Mario to get the plane ready as soon as he could.

---Hours Later---

Hadley was still sitting at the hospital she couldn’t leave. She had decided to donate Katy’s organs but she couldn’t leave Katy she just sat there in the waiting room.

Sidney had gotten a hold of Hadley again and got her to talk long enough to tell her what hospital she was at. He knew she wouldn’t leave Katy.

He finally found her sitting in the waiting room. He couldn’t get to her fast enough.

She heard her name and finally looked around and saw Sidney, Max, Marc and Vero coming towards her. She felt relief for the first time since she left Sidney’s earlier that day or was it yesterday now…she couldn’t be sure. That relief didn’t last though when she saw Jordan walking behind everyone. Even though things had ended badly between Katy and Jordan she knew they both still had feelings for each other.

Sidney just wrapped his arms around Hadley and just held her. He was glad that she wasn’t crying anymore but he didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Everyone just sat there until the doctors came out and said that they weren’t able to do the donation process because the police had stopped it.

“What do you mean” Sidney just asked the doctor.

“I don’t know if I should tell you this but they have ruled it a homicide.”

Chapter 15

“Last night was perfect Katy. I never knew it could be like that”

Her now best friend couldn’t help but laugh at the big smile that she had been wearing since she had walked into the apartment that afternoon.

“I’m being serious her Katy, it was never like that with Felix. Sidney took the time and made sure that I was enjoying it just as much as he was. With Felix it was more wam bam thank ya mam.”

“Trust me I believe Hadley, I’m just happy that you are happy like you deserve to be.”

“I know but I can just shake the feeling is going to happen and it isn’t going to be good.”

“Like with you and him…”

“I don’t know I hope not.”

“Well don’t worry yourself with it and go enjoy another night with your man.” Katy said

Hadley just smiled again and couldn’t wait til he was done with his workout and media stuff that he had to do today.

Hadley was woken up to her phone ringing.

“You ready beautiful.”

“Umm yea just let me grab my stuff and I’ll be down.”

“Ok I’ll be waiting.”

Hadley hadn’t moved so fast in a long time. She said goodbye to Katy and told her she would probably see her tomorrow. Katy just smile and continued working on the dishes.

She climbed into Sidney’s range rover and leaned over to kiss him

“Well that was quite a hello”

“Sorry can’t help it. Maybe something to look forward to for later” she said and just laughed when Sidney moaned and began to drive off to his place.

They were sitting at his house planning on having another relaxing night just watching movies and spending time together before a long road trip for the guys. As they were sitting there watching another movie there was knock at the door.

“Are you expecting somebody” Hadley asked.

“No but could you go get the door I have to run to the restroom.”

“Yea sure.” With that Hadley got up off the couch and made her way to the door“Hads how are ya” Max said and made his way into the house followed by a bunch of the guys

“We just thought we would come over see why Sid couldn’t stop smiling today at practice.

Hadley couldn’t help but blush a bit she turned around and tried to hide it but….

“Ha I knew it. Captain got some”

Sidney walked in and just shook his head…he wrapped his arms around Hadley hoping that she wasn’t mad that the guys found out.

“You don’t mind that they are all here do you”

They spent the rest of night drinking and eating pizza. They ended up playing a couple of games that allowed the alcohol to keep flowing. The girlfriends even ended up coming over.

While Hadley was in the kitchen a blond girl came in that she hadn’t met before.

“Hi I’m Heather, Jordan’s girlfriend.”

Jordan had been with her best friend but by the end of the night Heather and her had really hit it off.

“Of course but I work at a ad agency so it will have to be on the weekend” Hadley told her hoping that Katy wouldn’t be mad at her for this.

After everyone had left she went to sit on the couch with Sidney. She was slightly buzzed and wanted to play little bit. Chapter 14

After that night Hadley finally felt at ease with Sidney. Sorry about the wait…hope everyone enjoys the newest update. Hopefully this got me over the hump of writers block. I know that their night took up alot of the chapter and it wont always happen like that but I wanted their first time to be special.
