Chapter 3

A few weeks had passed and it was now almost August. Hadley was finally getting settled into her the apartment . She had to break down and use some of the inheritance to get some furniture for her room but that was ok..her dad would be proud. She was surprising comfortable. She wasn't completely over what had happened but she was much better that she had been.

Another pleasant surprise was the friendship with Katy, they got along great you would have thought that they've have known each other for years not just a couple of months. Hadley never rally thought she needed friends before because she always had Felix first as friend and then as the love of her life...well not anymore... but now she had Katy, who was turning out to be a great friend.

Hadley phone rang one night right after she got work but her phone ringing was strange because the only people who had the number were people from work, Katy( who was on her way to the apartment anyway) and Felix by why would he call. She picked it up without looking at the caller id.

"Hey girl" it was Katy

"Hey where are you we left the office at the same time." Hadley asked

"O I had to go shopping for tonight" Katy said

"Why, whats going on tonight?" Hadley was worried she be locked into her room blaring out music. It hadn't happened yet but she was waiting for it.

" We are going out tonight" Katy said excitedly

" O Katy I don't know . I don't think so, what if he is there." Hadley said very worried of what would happen if Felix and his friends were there.

" So what... you need to get out, your not sulking anymore so now its time to get out of the apartment. " Katy said into the phone as she walked through the door.

"Ha you are nuts. " Hadley said laughing at Katy still talking into the phone also while standing right next to each other.

After a good five minutes of laughing at each other something Hadley hadn't done alot of. She finally agreed to go out..

"Let go make you HOT...we are going to flaunt single Hadley and of couse single Katy..." Katy said as she headed right for Hadley's closet.

"Diesel won't know what hit them.

Chapter 2

Hadley slept bu not really...even though her eyes were closed she only rested. The tears kept streaming down her face. Soon enough her cell phone was going off.. She sat up hoping that yesterday was just a really bad dream...much to her dismay she was still in the hotel room alone.

All Hadley wanted to do was lay back down and ignore the world. Unfortunately she could not do that. She was new at the office and couldn't just call in (like she did yesterday afternoon) without taking the risk of losing her job that really did like. She was doing what her dad and done and this was her way of keeping him with her in some way especially because of the way everything had ended.

As 8:00 am approached she was nervous but she made her way to her desk anyway all the while hoping to be unseen. However there was no such luck and Katy saw her smile and began walking towards her. Hadley had always thought Katy was a really nice person and was sure that she covered Hadley's afternoon appointments and such yesterday but in the month or so she had been with firm she never really hung around her co-workers outside of the office...she had always left to be with Felix which seemed like a stupid idea now.

"Hey girl...we missed you yesterday afternoon." Katy said as she reached Hadley's desk

Hadley looked up knowing that her makeup didn't completely hide her puffy eyes and nothing would get the redness out of them. Before Hadley could say anything Katy let her know exactly what she saw.

"What in the bloody hell happened to you" Katy asked.

Hadley wasn't really sure what to say they weren't friends but Katy seemed nice enough maybe they could become friends...maybe????

"Ummmm I'm all alone, my world fell apart yesterday, I don't know what I'm going to do she said.

"What do you mean Hadley you gotta give me something her , I know we haven't hung out alot since you've been her be we could be friends...or least let me help you because something happened and I think you need some help."

"You would hel...." but Katy cut her off.

"Of course I would..will...but first lets get through the work day ok???"

"Ok "she said

-----Later that day-----

At 5 pm sharp Hadley walked out of the office with Katy following behind her. When they pulled into the hotel parking lot Katy looked really confused.

"I thought you had an apartment with whats his name?" Katy asked

"Yeah I thought I had more than that but he broke things off yesterday and since the apartment was in his name " Hadley quickly explained.

"WHAT AN ASSHOLE" Katy screamed making people in the lobby look at them both.

Hadley waited til they got into the room and quickly explained the rest of the story to Katy.

"I'm not a the point of being mad yet. I don't have anything really I don't know what I'm going to do. I think that I might just go back to California. " Hadley said

"The hell you will go back to California...don't say you have nothing...you have a job that you love and by they way are really good at. You cant leave...you cant let that asshole win."Katy told her.

"Well what am I going to do...I mean I have my inheritance from my dad but I haven't touched that and I'm not entirely sure that I want to. I'm staying in a hotel for god sake." Hadley said fighting back tears that she dint know she still had.

"Move in with me." Katy said "I have an extra room and I am looking for a roommate."

"O I don't kn...." again Katy cut her off.

"I'm not taking no for an answer....you belong here in Pittsburgh even if he was the reason you originally came here...its time to make your own life now.." Katy told her

"Well..." Hadley knew she didn't have a choice and decided to go for it. She was going to move in with Katy and make her own life. Starting now.

Chapter 1

***A month and half later***

Haldey had just gotten to her room after checking into the hotel she had found after lunch. She had no where else to go and her world had literally just fell to pieces.

Her and Felix had moved to Pittsburgh right after graduation. and Hadley was lucky to find a great job and a new advertising agency in the city. Felix was...well she wasn't completely sure what Felix was doing...she knew that he was working but it didn't matter to her they were together and happy; she didn't need anyone or anything else.

Now a month and half after they had settled into their apartment and new life. All of the sudden Felix called her and wanted to meet for lunch...This was a surprise but to Hadley it was a nice surprise and she was going to take advantage...until she saw his face something was wrong...

The more she thought about what had happened earlier the words still so so fresh...


------Earlier at Lunch-------

"I cant do this anymore." Felix said after the waitress had left to put in their orders.

"You cant do what anymore?" Hadley asked because she had no clue what was going on.

"This....us.... I cant do this anymore...I'm not happy and I don't think I really ever was." Felix answered with very little emotion.

Tears were welling up in her eyes but she refused to cry especially in front of him. But she couldn't say much..."What..."

"Its simple" he said "To me this hasn't been a relationship, the only real relationship I had was back when I was 20 and I messed that up by cheating...it is something that I have to live with... I don't really love you." again said with little emotion.

Finally a complete sentence came to mind so she stammered it out. "What about you wanting me to come with you so we could making our future."

"DON'T YOU GET IT I DIDN'T WANT YOU HERE, I just said it without thinking. We are done, I have your clothes and other things in the car since the apartment is in my name... I don't want you back there." He walked out and began to put Hadley's things beside her car and then drove away.

Hadley just sat there stunned...and then the reality set in as she paid the check and saw her things sitting beside her car. She called into the office and told them that something had come up and she wouldn't be able to come in for the rest of the day. She got her things into the car and drove to the nearest hotel...Still not able to cry.

Still sitting there in the dark Hadley still had not cried....well that was until she moved to get into bed...she was in bed alone for the first time in forever and she started crying uncontrollably and continued to do so for the first time since her dad had died.

NEVER SAY NEVER Intro/Prolouge

Like promised I wrote while at work today...so with out further ado...NEVER SAY NEVER


Prologue:

"Hadley Nicole Scott"

"WOOOOOHOOOOOOO....GO HADLEY!!!!" her boyfriend Felix screamed as a smile tugged at Hadley's lips while she walked across the stage to get her diploma.

As she walked along the other side of the stage she Felix sitting there taking pictures, and then an empty chair; that smile that Hadley has been wearing slowly disappeared.

-------Flashback (Hadley was about 15)-------

Hadley had just gotten used to the fact that her Dad had left and said that she couldn't go with him. Little did she know he was sick and probably wouldn't make it through the year. Now he was really gone...they had a gotten a call from a lawyer explaining what had happened, how there would be no funeral or service for him...he was gone for good, he had died. She has always been really close with her Dad and the fact that he wanted to die alone killed her but she knew it was his way of saving them the pain of really having to say goodbye...she could never be angry or hate her father.

Now she was left with a strained relationship with her mother (they had never really gotten along), they had very different ideas of what Hadley should do with her life. Hadley wanted to go to school and major in advertising (just like her father) and well her mother thought that was a waste of time and wanted her to be the pageant queen and become famous...of course so she could keep the lifestyle that she had grown accustom to before her husband had divorced her and left everything he had for Hadley to use as she please when she was 18. Needless to say Hadley survived high school...was offered a scholarship to USC and went to school against her mothers wishes. After that happened her mother showed her true colors and basically disowned her because Hadley was leaving her with nothing to pursue her own dreams (according to her mother..event though her mother still had the divorce settlement and her own modeling money)..they hadn't talked since Hadley went to school.

-------End Flashback---------

Hadley wasn't entirely sure why her mother not being there bothered her because she would be the first to admit that she has invited her mother out of spite...but o well...Hadley didn't need her and she hadn't for quite sometime. She had Felix and that was all she would ever need...HE WAS THE ONE.

"Babe I am so proud of you." Felix said as he wrapped Hadley in his arms.

"Thank You." she said as he kissed her lightly. " Now what did you want to talk to me about, Hun." she asked him.

"Ummm. It can wait, lets go celebrate" he told her as they walked out of the arena.

Hadley stopped in her tracks "NO you tell me now." she said letting her voice raise slightly.

"FINE... I'm moving back to Pittsburgh." Felix hissed.

For the first time in a long time Hadley was speechless. Felix saw this and well loved when it happened but he continued...."I want you to come with me."

"Ok, its not like I have anyone or anything here to stop me from going and moving on with my life." she simply said...like it didn't even matter because to here it really didn't.

"Ummm ok....Lets go to Pittsburgh" Felix quickly said....Hadley didn't pick up on the slight hesitation in his voice as they got in the car.

"Pittsburgh here I come." Hadley whispered.

"Ready or not" Felix replied under his breath.
